PRESERVATION PROJECTS

Master's Capstone

For the Master’s in Historic Preservation program centered on the documentation and interpretation of Fuller’s Row—a series of nine brick row houses originally built as worker housing in Darby, PA.

Through this work, I combined architectural documentation with historical research, producing measured AutoCAD drawings alongside a comprehensive study of the site’s history. The project required both technical precision and interpretive analysis, bringing together the physical structure of the buildings and the stories of the people who lived there.

This experience strengthened my ability to translate built environments into meaningful historical narratives, grounding preservation work in both material evidence and human experience.

Mid-Atlantic Historic Buildings and Landscapes Survey

As a team member of MAHBLS, I worked on documenting and researching historic houses, farms, commercial and industrial buildings, canal locks, religious buildings and sites, landscapes, and medical buildings. All in the best and worst conditions!

VAF Conference Fieldwork, Chicago

As a graduate student team member, I helped document historic buildings around Chicago for the 2015 Vernacular Architecture Forum (VAF). This is a national conference that is held every year in different cities around the world.
